Environmental monitoring: Leading Your Own ODK Project

- Create an account
- Rename the form
- To save a form, File > Export as XML
- Upload the form to Google Drive (geoworkshops@gmail.com address)
- For creating an XLSform
- Download the sample XLSform for our workshop: IMW Survey.xls
- Download the sample XLSform to learn about other form types and syntax: Sample XLSform.xls
- Validate and convert your XLSform on ODK XLSform
- Upload your XML form to Google Drive
- Enter data in to your new form, and send it when finalized to Google Maps Engine. A location field is required to send to Maps Engine.
- In Maps Engine, your data will populate a new vector table. Create a styled layer and a Map from your data.
- If you want an image to appear in a popup balloon, you must:
- Click on Layer: Edit Layer Style
- Info windows
- add <img src> tags around the photo, like this: <img src= {/IMW_survey/photo}>
- Publish on Exit and exit.
- If you want an image to appear in a popup balloon, you must:
- View a published Map from Google Maps Engine on the Maps Engine mobile app.
